It's just you, Mark.

Oh no, it's not that. It's your presumption that because the channel
is called #amiga, that the regulars appreciate blinkered diehards
like you jumping in, and constantly asking "anyone here getting an
AmigaONE? It's a G4 Amiga with a Matrox being released on Nov 1st.".
Firstly, you're talking in #amiga, where people know what the AmigaONE
is even if they don't give a rotten fig about it. There really is no
need to pump out the zico spec to people in channel.
Secondly, when you are ignored completely you start to post such
texts as:
<MD> Any Amiga users in here?
<MD> Anyone been in #amigaworld in Undernet?
<MD> 22 people in there at the mo
<-- MD left this channel (connection reset by peer)
--> MD joined this channel
<MD> Server dropped me
<ND> It does that sometimes
<MD> I use an Amiga on the net, what are you all using?
<MD> Anyone getting an AmigaONE?
I have logs of this. You're like a broken record. Also, your blatant
"spamming" of the channel with advertisements for other networks is
against house rules. We don't want to know about Undernet #amigaworld
or your completely retarded #diehard channel where you kickban people
on sight that you can't confirm are running AmIRC, and incessantly
flame people that since yuou aren't shouting AMIGAONE AMIGAONE
AMIGAONE from the rooftops, you're an "evil winBLOAT PeeCEE yuser" and
can't be doing anything useful for the Amiga.. (rest assured that I
am one of only 3 or 4 regulars who actually use an Amiga there - the
ops don't even HAVE Amigas thanks to the wonders of Amibench and some
gullible fools out there)
I really don't (and *nobody* in #amiga or #worms does) appreciate
twats like you or your diehard friends polluting a channel like
#amiga that has - for all intents and purposes - lost all interest in
the platform as a future prospect, simply because you feel that a
channel named AMIGA must drop all irrelevant conversation and start
talking about current events: but get this, Mark, nobody gives a
flying turd what Amiga are doing and when they say that they don't
want to discuss Amiga current events and that you should go talk in
#diehard, or #amihelp or whatever, where people give a a shit, that's
a hint to move on: not relentlessly repeat the same stuck record.
<MD> I might leave here and go and find a real Amiga channel
<MD> Anyone been in #amigaworld in Undernet?
<MD> It's a real Amiga channel where people care about the Amiga.
Now #amiga is just a channel for people who maybe had an Amiga or
have an Amiga, and might want the tiny bit of chat about the systems
they HAVE or HAD, interspersed with more worldly, life-changing
chat like holidays and what happened at work, and how old your
girlfriend is, what happened on TV, the state of the music industry,
that great album you bought yesterday, complaining that the bathroom
light bulb just popped, and so on. Miscellany mixed with nostalgia,
if you will.
There is no law anywhere that says that the channel should be tied
to the chat in the channel name.
You CONSTANTLY whine that it isn't a "proper" Amiga channel and that
you'll leave <insert against-rules advertising of other channels> like
anyone cares. People drop in and say it all the time.
<A> Hello! Does anyone know when AmigaONE released?
<B> nobody here cares about AmigaONE or Amiga-related products
<C> AMIGAR SUX
<A> isn't this channel called #amiga?
<B> so what?
<A> you should care!
No, we shouldn't. Never judge a book by it's cover. If you don't like
#amiga on Arcnet, fuck off out of it and don't come back.
Oh, and you joined #worms for the sole purpose of hurling abuse at
me. Very mature. And now you've taken my hostname and resorted to
emailing me "well at least you can't ban me from email" and "I've
posted these goings on to Amigactive LOL".
Seriously, Mark, you should have been strangled at birth.
